City of Heroes is psychic...

Postby Geist_Wolf » Tue May 18, 2010 3:18 pm

So I'm sitting here bored, and decide to go check put what City of Heroes is up too. I dunno, CoH has been in my mind for a little while now, prolly cuz General mentioned the upcoming expansion a few weeks ago. So I'm thinking about, wondering when the exp is coming and a thought pops in my head. I'm all "You know what CoH needs? A graphics improvment. As nice as the game looks, it is starting to look a little dated. And I bet they could upgrade the engine pretty easily and slide it in." So I go to the website to check out the news on Going Rogue and see that there was a recent issue update. I click on he update to see whast new... and yep, with the last update they put in graphical improvements known as "Ultra Mode" So NCSoft somehow looked into the future and read my mind.

Other important notes is that Going Rogue will introduce 2 new powersets (although if you prepurchase the game now you can use them now) Dual Pistols and Masterinds get Demon Summoning. No set release date yet, just "Summer 2010" but I might look into it if I have money by then.

Turns out that there are other powersets as well, Kinetic Melee and Electic Control.

Oh, I forgot to mention that also with I17 they lowered the lvl req to unlock epic archetypes to 20 and seem to have animated tails. Also new emotes and badges. Hrm... if I can convince myself to spend the money I might re-up my account for a month and try to run around with general for a bit. Oh, wait... he never ran with us in CoH... he ignored us...

Honestly, I was hoping I was still suscribed and forgot to cancel... but alas I am cancelled. If I can find where the ncsoft cards are sold I can buy one of those with some extra cash from fencing. Aslong as they aren't like 40 bucks cuz you get 3 months or something like that.

Heroes cheat their archclasses or whatever they are start with travel powers where the villains do not.

what ae you complaining about? Don't you get like 30 jump jets from vet rewards and booster packs you bought? Try playing a char that gets travel powers on the progression

The jet pack thing I have is nearly useless. It's mainly only good for climbing.

Meh, you ever play an epic archetype past level 20 or so? They get ridiculous speed later on; especially the widows.
