Alright, so I picked it up, and we had some time to play it. Sheer craziness. It's a game type that was designed for single-player, but adapted to multiplayer. We had three of us playing it, and it really is a lot like Gauntlet in how it handles multiple people. While the power-up boxes will spit out enough items for everyone, you can be a dick and take em all if you want. Or, as happened more often, you can accidentally be standing in the wrong spot and they all fall on you. Areas that require precision and timing are hilarious in multiplayer. More often than not, one of us would just run and jump ahead, and the other people would just die and float back after the troublesome area. You really need to coordinate efforts, or else you end up stomping someone mid-jump.
